En plein air is a French term for painting outdoors.
Painting instructor Christine Joy is coming back to Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden July through September to teach monthly watercolor classes!
This class will be great for first time painters as well as intermediate painters.
For beginning painters we will learn how to set up our palettes and go through some of the basics of watercolors.
For more advanced painters there will be some further tips and tricks. Other focuses will include: brushwork, texture, and color theory!
Though watercolors can seem like a tricky medium to some, there are many strategies we will work on together to make the process not only easier but also enjoyable!
Watercolors are an amazingly compact medium making the supplies easy to take anywhere. Once the students have their watercolor kits made they will be able to use them for years to come.
NOTE: Participants will be sent a list of materials that need to be purchased for this course. No materials are provided.
