Explore the medium of watercolor in the tranquility of the garden!

9:30 - 11:30 am, Gates open at 9:15 am

$40 per class (NOTE: Supplies are not provided as part of the course fee, we will send you a list of supplies you will need to bring)

En plein air is a French term for painting outdoors.

These workshops are great for first-time to intermediate painters.

For beginning painters we will learn how to set up our palettes and go through some of the basics of watercolors. For more advanced painters there will be some further tips and tricks. Other focuses will include: brushwork, texture, and color theory.

Though watercolors can seem like a tricky medium to some, there are many strategies we will work on together to make the process not only easier but also enjoyable.

Watercolors are an amazingly compact medium making the supplies easy to take anywhere. Once the students have their watercolor kits made they will be able to use them for many years to come.

These classes are designed for students to be able to sign up for one, two or all three classes. Feel free to pick and choose which classes you would most like to take and fit best into your summer schedule.
